Really enjoyed the day the teams we played all had more experience in the competition but we feel we held our own , I found it very competitive on the pitch but very different off with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The day was well organised with great facilities the refs were great and there was some good support for teams who had traveled a fair distance too Heywood to take part , really looking forward to the next round off fixtures

We are happy with the way the GMWF league is going and now enter two teams into the current Autumn round of fixtures. Age bracketing advancing into 65+ and 70+ is inevitable as we all start to age from here, so if I’m around to see it, take part or help organise at group level then the game of walking football (a later life bonus) will be a permanent feature in the panoply of sport for all. I hope the GMWF league goes from strength to strength with the non-contact ethos and direction maintained and enforced, without being silly about it – inevitable sub-minimal contact is usually unavoidable.
