Pay and play, limited touch, indoor walking football sessions in West Yorkshire.
Enjoy a morning stroll with Wakefield Wanderers Walking Football sessions, three times every week at Wakefield Football Centre.
Originally organised by Wakefield Council, the running of sessions has since been adopted by a small and dedicated committee. The popularity of lunchtime events every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, has helped to increase club membership to around 60 players, with an average of 18/20 people attending daily.
The group also runs unlimited touch sessions every Monday and Friday. Players are also asked to contribute a small £5 membership fee should they wish to take part in the group’s competition team.
Wakefield Walking Football sessions are supported by Age UK and take place indoors, allowing consistent conditions all year round. The minimum age for each session is 50, although all ages are welcome to attend on a turn up and play basis.
