About the session
Mixed ability sessions for those over 50 in Blackpool, twice a week.
Reap the benefits of the fresh sea air with a game of walking football with AFC Blackpool Senior Seasiders, every Tuesday and Friday afternoon.
Enjoy small-sided, mixed gender, all ability sessions consisting of matches no longer than 10 minutes at a time. The Senior Seasiders are primarily aged between 50 and 75, although younger players with medical needs are also welcome to attend.
Players must wear shin pads in order to play on the boarded astroturf pitch, where the ball remains in play at all times.
The club also enters a team into the GMWFL and has seen recent competitive success in the form of the Football League Trust Walking Football Cup and the North West Regional finals.
Weekly sessions take place at Common Edge Community Sports Village and last for an hour.
