The country’s biggest walking football club is unique in how it staggers the ages of its sessions to ensure the best experience for everyone.
Birmingham Walking FC’s over 65s sessions take place twice times a week on the astroturf pitches of the popular Beechcroft Tennis and Multi Sport Club.
All Birmingham over 65s walking football sessions include a short warm up, practice ball drills, a one hour game and a post-match cool down. They are also followed by drinks and refreshments in the clubhouse.
The astroturf pitch at Beechcroft is not suitable for football boots, so players are asked to please wear trainers when attending. In addition, new players are also requested to call ahead of turning up to confirm space availability.
