Over 70s Walking football in Birmingham.
At exactly double the age of most ‘vets’ football clubs, the over 70s sessions held by Birmingham Walking Football Club proudly showcase the accessibility of this brilliantly inclusive sport.
The weekly morning sessions take place every Wednesday from 9.45am at Beechcroft Tennis and Multi Sport Club, and are open to all players aged 70+, regardless of gender, ability or experience.
Make the most of this fantastic opportunity to get active, meet new people and enjoy the thrill of team sport all from just £4 a session, and what’s more – you’ll get your first session completely free!
Join like-minded players for a short warm up, ball skills and a friendly, non-contact game, followed by a post-match cool down and refreshments in the well-stocked clubhouse.
The excellent coaches at Birmingham Walking FC will work with you to improve your mobility and balance, and tailor the pace of sessions to a level that all players find comfortable.
While over 70s walking football is currently the oldest age group that exists at Beechcroft, there is no upper limit. Simply call ahead of attending to talk through what to expect and ensure a space is available on the session you wish to attend.
All players are asked to please wear trainers, not football boots, on the astroturf pitch.
