Popular and established sessions, based at Denton Youth F.C.
Join the Tameside Striders at one of their over 60s or over 65s weekly walking football sessions, every Tuesday and Thursday morning at Denton Youth F.C.
Take part in internal games of up to 20 players or more on all-weather 3G pitches. Mild contact is permitted and sessions are often mediated by a paid-for, impartial referee.
These sessions are supported financially by Age UK Tameside and the sessions are primarily for those aged 60 plus (Tuesdays) and 65 plus (Thursdays).
Kit is not provided for weekly sessions and players are asked not to wear football boots, but trainers or astroturf footwear instead.
Tameside Striders also host sessions for those aged over 70 on the same days.
