November GMWFL fixtures released

What better way to make use of your extra hour in bed this weekend than to browse the November fixtures of the Greater Manchester Walking Football League?

As the year marches on at frenetic pace, we are somehow just a few days away from the season’s third session, set to take place this Friday 3rd November.

The entry deadline has passed for new teams wishing to compete next week, but those who do descend on Heywood Sports Village will be hoping to get the bonfire weekend off with a bang.

As always, the session will kick-off at 11.00am, with each team playing a total of four 15-minute games.

Vintage Celtic will be hoping to close the gap on Rochdale AFC Strollers at the top of division one, and will play their first match against Chadderton at 11.20am.

But, perhaps the most intriguing fixtures of November lie in the GMWFL’s third division where just two points separate Wakefield Wanderers at the top and Nash Bees in third. Could the two switch places after they play each other in their first game?
